Where can I have my pet cremated?

It is best to contact your veterinarian as they can make arrangements for cremation. Your veterinarian is there to assist you and can offer advice about facilities. You can check your local “yellow pages” for pet crematories and pet cemeteries. You can also contact your local funeral home or a veterinary school in your area. Make sure to ask if the facility cremates individually or communally. It is usually more expensive to have a pet cremated individually.

How do I transfer ashes into an urn?

Cremated remains are normally returned from the crematory in a temporary container which holds the pet’s cremated remains in a fastened plastic bag. The bagged ashes can then be simply transferred into an urn. Most urns will include a new bag for your use should you need to transfer the ashes into the urn through a narrow opening.

What can I have engraved and how many lines?

You may have 3-4 lines of engraving with up to 30 characters per line on most of our urns, depending on size.

What do people put on the nameplate?

Most orders ask for the pet’s name to be engraved, the dates of the life of the pet, and a simple epitaph. There are some sample epitaphs below:
• In Loving Memory
• Our Beloved Companion
• Always Faithful, Always Loved
• Beloved Family Member
• Always Remembered in Our Hearts
• Rest in Peace

What size urn do I need?

For every 1 pound at time of cremation there will be 1 cubic inch of cremains. If a pet is 50 pounds at time of cremation they will require an urn at least 50 cubic inches. It is perfectly acceptable to choose a larger size urn so keepsakes or other mementos of your pet can be placed inside. Please see our Conversion Chart which will help you select the correct size urn for your beloved pet.

What are my payment options and when will my card be charged?

We accept MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover and PayPal. Your credit card is charged within forty-eight hours of your order. Orders are subject to credit card verification and acceptance before shipping.
